MERMAID STRAPPY DRESS, YELLOW, BATIK, COTTON
This dress was created out of wanting to apply an intricate
yellow fabric dyed using upcycled jackfruit sawdust - and
so fits the upcycled description in more than one ways
The fabric has tiny circle patches stitched onto an already
distinct woven pattern that includes lines running across
Try this one and look like the mermaid you truly are
With each piece being made by hand not one piece is
exactly like the next one, but truly unique
The top is 'shirred' and so is a little stretchy, whereas the
bottom part is 'roamy' and gives ample space for hips, and
hence even more so angling out into a bit of a tail-shape -
hence the name - helping bring out the Mermaid in you
